Terms of Service

Last updated: February 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the me.things application and its associated notification relay service (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by clairchant LLC ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

me.things is an Android application that connects AI models to device capabilities. The associated cloud service operates solely as a notification relay — it receives webhook payloads from external services (such as Slack, Discord, or generic webhooks) and forwards them as push notifications to your registered devices via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

The cloud service does not process, analyze, or permanently store the content of relayed messages.

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use the notification relay feature, you must register your device with the Service. Registration involves providing your user identity (such as an email address) and a device FCM token. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your registration information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or the underlying infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use the Service to transmit malicious content, spam, or unsolicited messages.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service, except as permitted by applicable law.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the timeliness, accuracy, or reliability of notification delivery.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) for access to the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

7. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The me.things application source code is available under the terms specified in its GitHub repository. All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed on the Service are the property of their respective owners.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
